I installed omnetpp 4.2.2 on ubuntu 12.04 but when I try to debug examples in inetmanet it produce this error :
No source available for "_dl_debug_state() "
.gdbinit: No such file or directory.
how can I fix this problem?

I solved my problem by install old gdb 7.3 at this address: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdb/7.3-0ubuntu2/+build/2718893

Neither of these messages are errors (they are warnings). You can simply ignore them and continue your process.

Thanks. you are right. after about 10 such warnings the debug starts to run.

If memory serves, there are some options in the launch dialog that enables/disables the break on dyanmic lib events... I'm guessing that the debugger stops each time a .so file is loaded.

Hi folks,

I solved this problem avoiding the gdb downgrade:

- Go to Debug configuration
- select the Debugger tab
- in debugger option select  Shared Libraries
- Disable the "Load shared library symbols automatically" option

Hope this can be helpful.
BR,
Simone.
