Mark the new project as dependent on queueinglib. (Project Properties dialog
-> Project References page).

Subject: problem with omnet++4.0 in windows xp

Dear All
I download OMNeT++ 4.0 win32 (source + IDE + MinGW, zip) and run its
examples (like dyna, tictoc) from command line it is working fine.
The omnetpp simulator window is also coming and i m able to create new
omnet++project as it is given in the Omnet 4 IDE demo(movie), But when
i am linking it with the queueinglib project and then creating the
demo.ned (a new network) I m getting only two submodule in my palette
IBidirectionalChannel and IUnidirectionalChannel, rest all submodule
like Queue, Fork,Dely,source,sink,router are not coming. Can please
any one help me out what is the problem and how to solve it????
I have also downloaded mixim 1.1 and its examples are also running
fine. but i am unable to work trough IDE.

plzzzz help me out as soon as possible.

If your project depends on queueinglib, then you MUST open the queueinglib project too,
otherwise OMNET cannot see/use anything that is defined in that project.

I also suggest closing MIXIM as it is not related to your current work.

Generally, open only the projects you are using or depend on.

I am having the same problem sunita had. Only difference is I am
running ubuntu. I already have the project queueinglib referenced and
open. the submodules still only show two items not the queues that I
want to use. I have used omnetpp before just not the IDE and trying to
get it to work is driving me nuts. any suggestions would be very
appreciated.

Nevermind, decided to take the drastic approach of reinstalling the
IDE. works perfectly now.

If you are sure, that queueinglib is correctly referenced, try to open a ned file from the queueinglib, just to check if everything works ok. If it opens correctly in the N ED editor, then everything should be ok.

On the other hand if it opens in a simple text editor and complains about not beining in a ned folder, then you should close and reopwn the queueinglib project. Sometimes it happens that Eclipse does not recognize the type type of the project when opening. It is an Eclipse bug what we were unable to track down until now...
