Dear Christoph Sommer Sir,

I'm an Engineering student and my final year project is Implementing an adaptive traffic control system for a junction using WAVE standards.(without using fixed traffic lights and using only V2V communication). As a simulation test bed I choose SUMO and OMNet++ with VEINS frame work. Before going to do the communication part I think first of all I need doing something with SUMO. For my adaptive traffic control algorithm I need to calculate the queue length of the vehicles( no. of vehicles which are approaching to the junction  in particular lanes) in small time interval.( as a example lets say simulation time is 1000s and I will partition this time to small time interval of 10s. then i need to calculate queue length at every 10s ). My question is how can I do this in SUMO? ( assume that incoming vehicle pattern is unknown and it is random). Also I want to calculate the no. of approaching vehicles to the queue and leaving vehicles from the queue at that small 10s time interval.(assume that this queue has thershold. as an example we only  count the queue length  maximum  100m from the junction). So can u tell me how to do this in SUMO ? This is an bit urgent and if u can give an answer it will be great  help for me.

Thank U....
Regards Dasun.....

You will probably get much better answers to this question on the SUMO
mailing list (this is the OMNeT++ mailing list).

Cheers,

Christoph

Thank u very much for ur answer sir.. I posted this in sumo mailing list. But I didn't get any answer. That's why I put it here. So can u tell me sir how to do this with the support of VEINS?

I am a project worker close to the project, it is possible to know how estimated the number of vehicles is calculated ??
