Make the omnet++ end simulation itself after sending certain number of messages.

I have been trying to send specific number of messages and want OMNeT++ finish the simulation after that number of packets being sent.
For example - I am trying to send 10,000 messages via ethernet and want OMNeT++ to end the simulation when it reaches that number. When I tried with my own methods it causes "unnatural stop" and the statistics collection go missing after that end. So, I want to know the proper way to do this.

Have tried couple of days and could not do it yet. Could anybody advice me on this?
