Hello,

I would like to use the INET framework but when I build the project I got two errors.
Could any one explain me the installation procedure (how to import it using the IDE)

Nb. My Omnet++4.2 works correctly

Hello, i m telling yo for the linux environment
Extract your inet tar ball in the workspace of onmetpp which is by default ( omnetpp-4.1/samples )
the open ur omnetpp and open file->import.
then in 'general' select 'existing project in workspace'  and click next
now select ur workspace (omnetpp-4.1/samples) and click finish

now wait for 5-10 seconds and press ctrl+b

the u r done :)

Hello,

Thank you very much for your reply.

I am using Omnet++4.2 win 32 for Windows.
I tried several times to import Inet but I had always theses errors:

networklayer/rsvp_te/RSVPPacket.h:19:26: fatal error: RSVPPacket_m.h: No such file or directory
make[1]: Leaving directory `/c/Omnet/omnetpp-4.2/samples/inet/src'
compilation terminated.
make[1]: *** [../out/gcc-debug/src/networklayer/rsvp_te/RSVP.o] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 2

Has any one test the Inet framework under Windows?

Best regards,

   as per given instruction. import the inet framework, build the project. if you still get RSVPPacket error, open the RSVPPacket.h file , write anything there, don't forget to delete it before saving, our purpose is just change the date of RSVPPacket.h file. now again build the project...  surely it will work..

The file is RSVPPacket.msg

Alternatively to opening and closing, you can manually trigger the
creation of the desired _m.*-files from command line.

Make sure you have the omnet4.2/bin directory in your path and navigate
to the networklayer/rsvp_te/ directory. Once there type:

$ opp_msgc RSVPPacket.msg

This will build the necessary files for you.

Good luck!

you must not include the ned extension.
import inet.linklayer.ieee80211.mac.Ieee80211Mac;  // correct
import inet.linklayer.ieee80211.mac.Ieee80211Mac.ned; // incorrect

ups, you try to use the inet code in your project , it’s no easy there are dependencies, for example the radio depends of the channelControl module, that use the mobility, the Mac needs the queue models …., it’s not easy

Hello,

Sorry for my multiple transmissions.
I am writing a code on the top of the Ieee802.11 Mac layer of Inet framework.
During the initialization of my network I had the following error:

error in module ieee80211radio during network initialization. Model error:host not registred yet in channelcontrol.

Is any one familiar with such error?

Thank you in advance.
