What does OMNeT stand for? I havn't found a translation so far in the
web or in the documentation... I'm just curious. :)

But if you are curious, the official answer is: Objective Modular Network Testbed in C++

Thank you for the serious answer, unfortunately I couldn't find this
with google. Otherwise I hadn't dared to ask this question here.

I just added this fun because the first search result displayed by google was actually the right one :)
But I admit there are other definitions for the abbreviation omnet.

On the other hand, we don't like the original too much. If somebody would come out with a better idea what should OMNeT++ stand for, we would consider adopting it :)

We will give away a free copy of OMNeT++ Academic Edition to the winner :)

Well..., why not Open Multipurpose Network Testbed ?
(don't forget the free copy, together with a bottle of Port Wine!)   ;-)

Obvious Mystic... :)

Switch back to serious: I like Alvaro's suggestion.
