OMNeT + Veins; Send message from a specific node to all the other nodes in range

Hello,

I am working with veins and omnet and I want to send a custom message (I know how to define it from the tic toc tutorial) from a defined node or RSU at a certain time. I know that the example scenario does exactly that but I want to be able to control it by myself. I have looked into the veins files but I am not able to define the node or RSU that needs to send the message neither how to configure when to send it.

I would really appreciate some help cause there is not a lot of documentation regarding this topic.

Thanks for your help Christoph, I really appreciate it. I was reading the thread that you forwarded me but I was not able to undersand. I am in a point in which I can schedule messages but I do not know how to do it in a certain node, it just sends the message from all the nodes or something like that. I do not understand the behaviour of the selfmessage neither the schedule at. My idea would be to select a node (vehicle) or a RSU and send a message. You know where in the code should I add that, I am working with veins demo so I did not change a lot of code. I am pretty lost with this topic and I do not know where to look.

the OMNeT++ Tic Toc tutorial covers this (along with how to make different nodes behave differently).

Hey Christoph,

I made the Tic toc tutorial several times but still no clue how to manage this. Let´s keep it specific; I want to send a message from node[0] to node[1] with vehicle id speed, possition and acceleration on the already existing demo from Veins. How can I make this?
