In the Tkenv, MF shows the topology b/w mobile hosts. But, a 'bubble("text")' function is called within a sub-module of a host module. So, the bubbles were called by the sub-modules of a host module (like BasicApplLayer) which inherit BasicModule. I could see the bubbles by double-clicking on the hosts, though I would need to open a seperate window for each. The solution is calling that function from the "mobile host" as below:
findHost()->bubble("TEXT");
or, one can simply define a macro for Bubble() like:
#define Bubble(text_to_pop) findHost()->bubble(text_to_pop)
I think this should go into the user manual.
Best wishes,
Onur.

Subject: Re: [omnetpp] MF: bubbles don't appear - Still...
Hi again,
A few days ago I have posted a problem with not seeing the bubbles. On my pc, I have VS2003 (VC7.0) + Omnet++3.3 + MF2.0p3. I was not seeing the bubbles and I installed the same environment onto another pc. And still not seeing them. The 'show bubbles' option is also checked.
I implement the application layer by extending BasicApplLayer class (if this info is relevant).
When I try to debug into bubble() function, VS says "There is no source code available for the current location.".
Has anybody encountered such a problem with bubbles?
Best wishes for all,
Onur.

Hi Onur,
Did you check if in the "simulation options" of Tkenv the "Show Bubbles"
is checked ?
Regards
Patrick
