 Hi,

I am doing my research on IEEE 802.11p. For this purpose, I installed sumo 0.21.0 , omnet++4.6(INET 3.2.1 and MIXIM 2.3)  and veins 3.0. I want to ask that is there any need to use MIXIM in presence of INET 3.2.1 as i came to know that there is no need to use mixim sepreatly as it is integrated in INET 3.2.1 . There is also a problem with veins as when i am starting simulation of veins example it gives error like " Run #0: Finished with Error " and under console tab its error text is as:
Environment variables:
PATH=/home/taal/omnetpp-4.6/bin::/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games:/usr/local/games
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/taal/omnetpp-4.6/lib::/home/taal/veins/veins-veins-3.0/src:
OMNETPP_IMAGE_PATH=/home/taal/omnetpp-4.6/images

Kindly help me solve this problem. Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Hi!

VEINS is based on MiXiM. You can integrate VEINS directly with INET, there is no need to use MiXiM.

Regarding the error you posted -- there seems to be some debug output missing. The VEINS website actually has a pretty decent list of common errors and a short guide on how to get some basic debug information, which should help you along if you have some programming experience.
I've also compiled a list of additional errors I've encountered several times, though this is by no means a completed list (and I have about a dozen issues I still need to document), but maybe your problem appears there:
https://github.com/namnatulco/veins/blob/master/usagenotes.md

Also, consider posting on the stackoverflow page if you have a problem related to programming, because that page has better quality control and allows you to easily edit your original question to add information like this :-).

Regards,
Rens
