Hi all,

I'm running last version of Mixim into Omnet++4.1b3.

In particular I'm studing the "BaseNetwork" example to understand how
it work. I see that the hosts move inside the playground but I don't
understand if these echange messages from an host to another.

Is there anyone that could tell me how I could see the messages
exchanged?

Thank you in advance!

Regards.

My suggestions:

1. Read the omnet manual
2. do the omnet examples (and understand them :-)
3. look at the MiXiM wiki
4. do the MiXiM basenetwork example (be a little patient - there are messages,
however message sending does not start until ca 6.5 s of SIMULATED time)

Hi Daniel,
thank you for your answer.

I've already implemented the steps suggested, but what I'm not able to
do is how to explore the messages from the IDE.

In fact my objective to complete the study of BaseNetwork is the
meaasges exchanged in this example.
I would explore the frame of this messages and the payload...

During the simulation after the 6,5s of simulated time i see in the
main window that some messages are sent and received but
how could I debug those?

Thanks.

This is where step 1 and 2 of my previous mail will be very helpful :-)

What I am trying to say is that you should get a general understanding of
omnet and how it works and how the GUI works. And for this the omnet manual
and examples are best. Once you understand the basic concepts of omnet it will
be very easy for you to inspect and debug messages in the basenetwork of
MiXiM.
