make: *** No rule to make target `Makefile.inc'. Stop.
I seem to be getting a lot of errors I also encountered that it would not let me install gdb but I read online this has been replaced by dcc or xscript.
Please help I really need this working for uni ahaha.
I have the new MacBook Air M1 processor running macOS Big Sur v 11.1, could the m1 processor be the issue as it doesn't process the same as an intel cpu.
Thanks,
Mike

no. configure: error: Qtenv cannot find qmake -- maybe it is not in the PATH or has some exotic name (tested names were: qmake qmake-qt5 qmake5) - disabling Qtenv. You can try setting the QT_PATH variable in configure.user to a valid location.

➜ omnetpp-5.6.2 make

as yo can see it mentions about Qtenv I have already installed qmake I don't know why Im receiving this error and I do have. a make file file
I am not sure if macOs arm is supported by Qt at this moment. Probably the best option, at this moment, is to search an Intel/AMD machine with linux.

It is a bit complex, in this case, previous versions of omnet could work with TCL/TK, but this has been removed in the latest versions, now, omnet needs Qt for the IDE, the problem here is that Qt doesn’t run in ARM macOSX yet.
It is possible that it could exist a beta version or somebody in the community has a functional port, but I think, that at the present time, it doesn't exist an official version for ARM macOSX.

Hi,
Not sure that my suggestion will work but at the time I used omnet++ there was a cmd option to disable/Ignore some of the packages not available or not working for certain OS versions etc.!

You don’t need akaroa to run the simulations, but if you want to install it, you need to request a license

Hi Alfonso,
This was not due to any of the stated issues drive had 1tb available i redownloaded the file and my hard drive seems to be healthy.
So i have now moved onto the 3rd operating system linux ubuntu, all has been fine until it came to downloading the akora download and compiling as the link you provide does not give access to the omnett download only links me straight back to the installation manual i am getting passed between the website and the installation guide with no download. could you please provide the download for akora that i need to successfully run this software on my linux ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS.
Thank you,
i think we are close to completeing this installation i just dont want to install untill all packages are installed before hand correctly.

I have never suffered the problem in any of my installations in windows, the only cause that I could think is lack of free space, error in the downloaded file or, the HD is showing symptom of failures

Hi Guys,
I am still having issues i hope someone can help me, so i have moved over to my windows machine trying to install omnet++5.6.2 i installed everything and then tried to run but it said it could not find omnett program. I reset my pc as I had to change my file names to exclude spaces as i thought this could be the issue. the restart did not fix it.
I deleted all files then tried to do it in a different file location. this time the same issue has occurred but this time it will not even let me run configure saying permission denied. I am using this software for my degree and it is becoming a pressing issue. Screenshots are provided thanks.
