Hi,

I'm new with Omnet++ and Veins. I'm wold like to develop satety related ITS applications like Overtaking vehicle warning and Stationary vehicle warning (Annex C of www.etsi.org/deliver/etsi_tr%5C102600_102699%5C102638%5C01.01.01_60%5Ctr_102638v010101p.pdf). I'm planning to use Veins (and SimuLTE)/Omnet++/Sumo. I aim to analyze the safety of these applications at the application layer level.

Does anyone know any references to implement these applications in SimuLTE and VEINS?

Analyzing the source code, I saw that the vehicle route is pre-defined in the rou.xml file and passed to the SUMO when the simulation starts. Is there any way to dynamically change the behavior of the vehicle according to the alerts of those applications?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

You can have a look at the example scenario shipping with Veins.

In this example, an accident occurs, so the routes of other vehicles are changed dynamically.
The application code can be found in TraCIDemo11p.cc.

Best regards,
Alex
