Meaning of fixFSM flag in IEEE802.11Mac.h

Hi all,
I have studied the FSM what implements the IEEE802.11 but I did no
get the meaning of the fixFSM flag. Should I set it to true or not?
Can somebody en light me, please!

There is a error in the FSM, this flag modify activate the fix of the FSM. If you set this flag to false the FSM will be the same of inet-framework.
without this fix a packet can be re-transmited by the mac layer indefinitely
