Hi! Does MiXiM has a tutorial on the energy consumption of nodes? I
found out that MiXiM uses the energy framework from Laura Marie Feeney
but I could not find any example on this feature.

For example, how do we find out the energy supply of nodes over time
and how to place the nodes in sleep modes.

And BaseHost also has a submodule battery. How do we use this? In the
baseNetwork example, the battery module is not used. Does anybody know
why?

Hi,
take a look at this paper:
http://www.tkn.tu-berlin.de/publications/papers/omnet10_energy-framework.pdf

You need to use the PhyLayerBattery in order to model energy consumption in
the phy layer. For putting nodes to sleep you should take a look at the API.

Unfortunately, there are no examples on these things yet, however, we are
happy if you are willing to contribute one :-)

Daniel I red the recommended paper ,and I have the following problem
I have my own module extended from base layer ... I tried to call estimateResidual()  in my module but I got run time error.
So  can you help me with my problem and if you have another solution please share with us.
