Can I use Omnet++ Simulation to get 5G Network traffic data?

Hello everyone,

I am trying to simulate a C-V2X scenario to get network traffic data. I will future use this simulated data to run some Machine Learning models to make predictions. I need my simulated data with KPIs and time-series attributes collected for one week. Is my research archivable?

I was able to learn how to simulate C-V2X in omnet++ from the V2IV2Nsim repository available in github. But I have little to no experience in modifying source code.

My current progress:

• Convert real-world location in a simulation scenario.
• Generate vehicle demand modeling using SUMO.
•  Run the network using Simu5G modules.

I recently ran a simulation model to record one hour (3600s) of simulation time. I simulated 200 cars into a 2000 km2 area. It took me 14 hours to simulate and the results collected are 21 GB in size. the simulator was unable to handle such big data while plotting graphs, loading the data, increasing the count of cars to run in the simulation.

Lack of publicly available 5G traffic data I have chosen this simulation as a tool. But I got stuck in the simulation phase for more than one year now. Any comments/suggestions are appreciated.
