Hello All,

Right now I had created a new folder under src in INETMANET. and in
that I had copied the examples of "inetmanet/examples/adhoc/
net80211_aodv" and also using the "IeeeNewNicAdhoc.ned" for the use of
physical layer.

And I have a flowchart that needs to be implemented.

So, can someone please tell me what should i write in the C++ code to
access the details of a node in that network. i.e, I want to see
whether the nodes have been assigned a ip address or not. So, I dont
know what the above example is doing but I want to assign the IP
addresses to them if they are not assigned.

What are the contents of the node/host in the above example. Please
help me with this as I am new to this and I have a project to
complete..:( please help me.

Please let me know if I am not clear in my question...

I appreciate any kind of help :) thanks alot...

hi
as far as i know,  an inetmanet example may assign ip addresses to nodes automatically (if it is using flatnetworkconfigurator.ned file) or let the user to put his/her own ip addressing scheme using omnetpp.ini file.

You can check the ip address of an specific ip node if you inspect the compound module (just make a double click in the figure icon of the node), then you will see a simple module named "interface table", make a double click again and you will see a stl-map C++ array. Make double click to this object and you will see the IP address of the node.

Take this comment as a reference, i am far from my OMNET computer and i was trying to remember how to get the information you are looking for.

best regards
Omar

Hello Omar,

Thank you so much for your reply. By following your instructions, I
have been trying since you replied to till now to findout the ip
address of the node. But I am not able to see the ip address of the
node.

Could you please give me more instructions when you are near your
computer. If you want me to tell you then I can send some screen
shots of my computer so that you can guide me.... :)

Please let me know...

Thanks a lot for your help..:)
