Sorry it is more eclipse based problem.

I am using omnet 4.2.1 and when trying to “Run” the program getting error “Error is Workspace”.

I moved my ned and cc files around the working folders and I think the path has gone wrong somewhere.

Yes my actual directory structure is /home/user1/omnetpp-4.2.1/Uni/myNodes"

But I can see in below error myNodes repeated twice for some reason.

Error is:

Run#0 – Scheduled has encounter a problem

Exception occurred executing command line.

Cannot run program "/home/user1/omnetpp-4.2.1/Uni/myNodes/myNodes" (in directory "/home/user1/omnetpp-4.2.1/Uni/myNodes"): java.io.IOException: error=2, No such file or directory

My question is “How can I change the working directory structure in Eclipse, is it under Windows → Preferences or ?” So I have to change the run path options and remove this duplication? Is that right? But from where?

Please let me know.

I got similar problem in ubuntu...
In my case; workspace (by default samples folder) got locked...  in samples folder there is a hidden folder name metadata, inside it there is a file/folder named lock, delete it.

I can’t see any folder in my workspace as what you mentioned.

I am pretty sure, there is a logical explanation for this and it should get fixed from configuration somewhere...probably “ Project -> Properties” ...ummmm.

Anyone?

either log in as root and in view options check show hidden files and folders OR check ur files and directories using terminal, for this go to the path of your workspace and then type "ls -a" then click enter..there you can see

Try to rebuild your project. You can have the project in the directory that
you want,

Rebuild your project and check if the executable was built successfully. It is the executable file that is missing and it has nothing to do with folders or workspace location.
