Dear Alfonso,

First, thanks for all the help you've been giving away to everyone.
You're truly awesome!

Another parameter that I need is routing overhead. For example I need
to evaluate AODV, OLSR, DSR and etc. based on their routing overhead.
Routing Overhead = Total Number of Routing control Packets sent by all
nodes/Number of received data packets at destination node

We already have a signal for number of data packets arrived at the
destination in Bytes. I need to add a signal to the simulation to emit
"Total Number of Routing control Packets sent by all nodes" how can I
do this?

Regards,
Shahin.

The routing protocols write the packets that they sent of every type in the
sca file

Thanks for the quick reply.

DYMO, AODV and DSR do register whatever they send in the sca file but
OLSR doesn't. Another problem that I have is that what they register
is the number of the messages they send and each message has different
size and finding the size of each message and adding them up to find
routing data is gonna take so much time. Isn't there an easy way for
finding the total routing data in bytes instead?

Another question is why doesn't OLSR register any signal of it's
routing data? should I add them myself?

Regards

it's possible to record the size, the problem is the overflow, if they send
to many packets the byte count will overflow

hello
can you help me about design and simulation wireless sensor/actuator network (WSAN)?

I am aware of the overflow but I wouldn't run the simulation for that
long. I have no other way but registering the byte count. So how can I
do this? Where should I add a byte counter?

regards

In this method
void ManetRoutingBase::sendToIp

this method are used by all the manet routing protocol with the exception of
DSR
