hardware in the loop

Hello, i want to know how from my simulation model in omnetpp i can interact with real systems(outside my simulation model).
i want from example to have a server inside omnetpp that reply web services requests comming from real machines on internet??? i suppose the concept is hardware in the loop. Does is possible to do that in omnetpp???
