Jai Guru,

This short clip shows Sri Sri Sitaramdas Omkarnath with some disciples taking his meal in Sri Anandamayi Ma's room at the Benares Ashram. Ma Anandamayi offers  Bhiksha to Sri Sri Sitaramdas Omkarnath in the Ashram at Varanasi in 1976.

Jai Guru Hemantdada- none of us can thank you enough for making this immesurable treasure available to all of us - may Thakur always keep you hail and hearty so that we all can keep on receiving them every now and then. In fact I should thank you a little more because it is such a personal coincidence that I had the great good luck of my lifetime to visit Varanasi ashram in 1976 itself along with my parents and do pronams at Baba's lotus feet and take midday prasad ending with payasam that tasted better than nectar. There were two rasagollas too as bonus - all vivid in memory. Even now, whenever I get a chance to visit the Varanasi ashram, that old and one of the rarest and sweetest personal memories of mine overwhelms the heart and moistens the eyes without exception.

While the Holy Mother Ganga flows on northward down below, and the never-resting heavenly breeze absorbs all physical and mental fatigues in a moment, both Babas of mine - the white-clad Baba with flowing beard of 1976 and my father (who too is no more in his physical body) seem to bless me no end.

Sorry for digracing from the main theme of the immortal clip you have sent but many years later, around 1989 in Delhi, when I and my family started visiting Maa Anandamayee Maa's ashram in Okhla in New Delhi on one Sunday per month, when day-long Naam-sankirtan used to be held there, and when there too, I used to get similar payasam and similar rasagollas in the mid-day prasad, I used to again feel a strange coincidence of ananda- as if Thakur and Maa are both saying the same thing and both blessing us very similarly.

Then when I once had the privilege of being in Bholanath Nivas at Rishikesh Ashram during Basanti Puja, and later  offering pronams before the image of Shri Bholanath baba established by Thakur Himself at Dheer Sameer Vrindavan ashram, and visited the Yagna site of Maa at Kankhal, and even later Her ashram at Dehradun (where Baba met Her for the last time before Her Mahaprayan) - every time, the same ananda I felt. Perhaps, the fact that my father's name was also Bholanath (Chatterjee) added to my joy and bliss. I thank you once again for evoking all those sweet little unerasable memories through this video clip.

Jai Shri Ram!! Jai Thakur Sitaram!! Jai Maa!!! Jai Maa Anandamayee Maa, Maago- Tomra Kripa Karo Aamader Sabaare - Bhakti Daao, Shakti Daao, Buddhi Daao, Jnana Daao - aamader jaar jakhon jeta jatata darkar, taare taai takhon tatota diye dhanya karo, shuddha karo - Tomader saathhe jukto kore mukto karo moder! Jai Baba Bholanatheshwar Sitaram!, Jai Maa Bholanatheswari Anandamayee!!

MAA ANANDAMAYI said-
"Your earthly pension expires with your life, but the divine pension
continues long, long after death. Those who amass money, store it up
in a hidden chamber of their house, add to this store what they can
save from time to time, and keep a constant watch over their treasure.
So also reserve a little corner of your mind and heart for God and
always steal an opportunity to add to your stock in the shape of the
invocation of His name or some pious work or divine thought."

THAKUR said-
"This Samsara, sorrow and sufferings all come from the feeling that ‘I
am this body’. The Atma, which is beyond the gross, incorporeal and
casual bodies, is the real identity of a person.

So long as a person does not know that Atma, so long as he does not
properly understand that he is not this body, there will be no
cessation of his sorrows, afflictions and also rebirth.

How can one see one’s real self i.e. Atma? Sri Gurudeva, in his
limitless kindness, gives the Mantra. By constantly repeating this
Mantra, the Atma appears inside a person and he is immersed in the
form of Nada, Jyoti and Bindu. Then the feeling that ‘I am this body’
gradually disappears and the person is immersed in Ananda and gains
Mukti (liberation) while still staying in the Samsara. The mad feling
that ‘This is my body’, ‘This is my wealth’. ‘This is my house or
property’ completely ends, he becomes liberated though existing in
this world. He no longer remains within the limited space of the
circle of ‘Mine’. The understanding grows in him that the whole world
is the image of his Ishta-Deva, this world is not meant for enjoyment
but for service and he thereby gains peace.
Whichever way he looks, he sees Sri Bhagawan, everything becomes God
to him."

It is obvious from the lives and messages of Thakur and Anandamayee Ma
that they had come together to perform leela and bestow their grace on
us. It is important to remember that Thakur had said that Ma
Anandamayee was the reincarnation of Bhairavi Yogeswari of
Ramkrisnaleela.
