Thakur Sitaramdas Omkarnath has written- ‘…I sat with the vow of silence [‘mauna’]… instruction in dreams isnt sufficient. I You want this ‘tool’ to spread the Holy Name, then You will have to command me face to face.
Before sitting, I told Narayan to arrange for ‘habisya’ for forst week, fruit and milk for second week, only milk for third week, and so on.
As far as spiritual endeavour is concerened, just Nad [divine sound] remained in right side, I wasn’t able to utter even Omkar….
9th or 10th of Baisakh, at midnight, I changed My clothes and started meditation. In the right side of head, I heard the sound of ‘Nupur’ of a Child’s feet. I felt as if I am unable to sit… The Nad [divine sound] continued. I felt as if I am losing consciousness, and then, a round Halo appeared. In the Halo of Light, Jagannathdev came from the left and said smilingly- ‘JA JA NAAM DIGE JA’ [Go and spread the Holy Name]…’

This incident has been narrated in Lila Chinta-
Bam dik hote jyoti modhye okomat,
Asilen Bhogoban Probhu Jagannath.
Bolilen haat nere mridu modhu hese-
‘Ja ja Nam dige ja’ Probhur uddese…

...'go and spread the NAME'
~~The 'pratyadesh' or 'Divine command' was uttered by Lord Jagannath, while my Thakur was doing tapasya in Srikhetra, The command is a fulfilment of various aspects of Achyutananda's prophesy- viz - the avatar of Omkarnathdev will attain the grace of Nilachalnath, Omkarnathdev will preach the Holy Name, He will have numerous disciples etc. There was no 'necessity' for a command, but my Thakur is Purusottam.. He enacted the Leela just for setting an example-- preaching should always be preceded by divine instruction. Another important aspect of this leela is, the Nam prachar leela again started to flourish from the banks of Nilachal... Lord being the Observer and the Preacher simultaneously...!

This auspicious occassion was celebrated wonderfully at Nilachl this year, and HERE ARE SOME GLIMPSES OF NAGAR KIRTAN-

Jai Guru!- thanks for the glimpses- Thakur's cutout is looking so alive- as though He is dancing and inviting one and all, saying, " Aay Aay, Naam Nibi Aaay!".

Jai Shri Ram!! Jai Maa!!!
