Cart Design

Good morning, everyone,

I think there's a general consensus that we want to make a new cart for carrying robots. Let's plan a meeting, get some concepts around, then CAD out the design.

Le, can you help us CAD it out? When are you back in town?

Is it a good/bad idea to shoot for a finished cart in time for Northville? Or is that a silly goal?

i think we shud focus on the robot first, id really like to get further than we did at TC if possible... after that if we hav time, which we might not, we can work on the cart... but basically, lets leave until after comp...

About the cart. I remember it's cheaper to buy a  cart from Harbor Freight than to build one. We can all pitch in to get a cart? It's only $ 60.00 + shipping. Here's a link:

Thats a really bad cart for the Robot Le! we are trying to build something like this!

with some modification on top of it n it probably wont take that much time cuz we already have one also if we 

dont argue about it soooo much :P

Your cart is good too. I've found that the taller cart helps elevate the robot in case we need to work on it.

Oh u misunderstood the concept of the cart. I think we are building or buying a cart to use in the competition!

And u know the lower the cart is there will be less chances that it will hurt someone by falling robaaaaahh!! oh

Of course not that's a bad design of what I had in my mind but I had to give pic to le n I'm not sure if we will have anytime at all to do that

All cart ideas are very nice, but I think its finally time we suck it up and make a nice cart. We have one for this competition but I would really like to get a really nice cart that is raised up to work on, doesn't extend outside of the wheel base so we don't have to take the robot off to put on bumpers, has lights, power inverter for laptop power, moves for us, promotes our team really well, and looks amazing. I know getting it done will take time so I am thinking off season project.

More important than that we need to get move community involvement, more sponsor flyers, more emails and feelers out to companies.

Le, Could you talk to Roush by chance, and I will continue talks with yazaki's executive management.
