Team 1076,

Just wanted to give you guys the heads up that we were accepted into google summer of code.  We are currently seeking students for the summer.  If you aren't familiar with google summer of code you basically get paid all summer to work on open source software.  In your case you get to work with us at makerworks everyday for the summer.  A few of the projects we are interested in getting going is integrating our stuff with ROS (robot operating system), extending our embedded support (which you guys already proved it works on pandaboard), we want beaglebone, etc and  make things easy for people to replicate, amongst other things.  If you don't know computer vision it's not a big deal, we are just looking for someone with some programming skills, loves open source and is motivated as cliche as that sounds.  There are no guarantees you will be picked as we give a filtered list to google and they pick, they do encourage the students to be local so there is a good chance if you apply you will have precedence.

If you are interested visit:

:-)

I heard such great news! Congratulations! I would apply myself, but I don't know enough programming yet. However, I'll be around to hang out with you guys at Maker Works this summer, and help with anything that comes up.

Josh, Mike, Jan, Daniel, I encourage you all to apply!
