So here it is. We messed up. But don't worry, it all gets better!

In the beginning of the match we start immediately in front of OUR OWN BASKETS! We don't ever /have/ to cross the barrier! This'll make autonomous mode infinitely easier.  So yeah, we messed up and wasted some time. But, this is good. Wait, no, it's excellent!

Anyways, Daniel Bole pointed this out to me. Along with Mike Huang, in his own way (not sure which of them actually discovered it). Daniel had been watching the video of Skyline at the Kettering competition. He claims they got fourth place. Congratulations to them! Attached is a brief video. They seemed to have gotten shooting working, albeit with a sustained ~40% accuracy. Two high balls placed in autonomous!

Let's go OMG Robots! Success is ours!

Judging from the videos, we actually have a chance if

1. We get our drivers to be decent at driving
2. Our robot stops being horribly top heavy and
3. We invent a way to get across the barrier

Work on vision is coming along well, by the way. We can also get a camera feed over the network from both the Kinect and the Axis camera, which will be mounted near the pickup mechanism.

Didn't Alexander want to build a bridge tipper?  Does anyone know the exact distance the arm goes over the bumper?

The instructions for this microwavable dinner says to make a 1/4 turn halfway through the cooking, but what if I have a microwave that continually turns the food?

Do you think I still have to pause the cooking midway and make a 1/4 turn?

It's being rotated for you, but I'd still think you have to do the pause yourself and everything.
