Hi,
I wonder if anybody did some works with timeline and exhibits.
We are planning to integrate the timeline plugin to our online exhibits, and since we have variety of exhibits in different topic, we will create timelines for each exhibit.
So we would like to integrate the timeline in each exhibit.
I was wonder if any work done along the same line!
thanks
Nancy

Hi,

I was trying to create a timeline by search for specific collection, that worked great.
then I used the same items in the collection and create an exhibit out of it. I returned back to timeline edit query form to create a time line, that did not come up with anything? I wonder if there is some information how to use the search by exhibit from Edit query form of time line.
thanks
Nancy

Hi Nancy,

No one I'm aware of has integrated the Neatline Time plugin with Exhibit Builder. Curious how you'd like to do this though, and if you make anything, would love to see it. If you have ideas but aren't sure how to make them happen, we can try to figure it out together.

Best,
Jeremy

Sorry, I missed this subsequent email before posting.

Not sure I'm following this correctly. It seems you want to create a timeline of all the items in a particular exhibit, and that timeline failed to display any items? I know ExhibitBuilder adds a field to the advanced search to narrow by a particular exhibit. If your search returns items successfully, and if those items have dates, they should appear just the same as doing any other kind of search.

If this is the problem you're having, I'll see if I can reproduce the issue. If this is a bug, it'd probably be better too to talk about this on a ticket on the plugin's Github repo (https://github.com/scholarslab/neatlinetime#feedback) to spare other folks on this list from a conversation they may not be interested in. So if you're still having this problem, add a ticket there with as much detail as possible for reproducing the error, along with any info about your installation (version numbers, themes, other plugins, etc.) A link to your project would also be useful. And we can converse about it from there.

Best,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,
What we would like to do is add a link to each time line created for each exhibit.
Time line can appear in its individual section of exhibit. This is one idea.
Also, we would like to have a link to the exhibit related to the time line created.

I have not though about it in detail yet. I was first experiment with create a time line from items belong to certain exhibit.
Since that still not working I have not went further down the road.

In the future we would like to ask our creator to create a time line for each exhibit build.
One thought, add a list of time line to the exhibit form, user will select the time line to attach to the exhibit. For that, I guess I need to create a table in db and add a hook/filter to add a timeline selected list in the exhibit builder.
You might have better idea but I am thinking from what I made in the past to add groups to exhibit builder.
