Hi all,

The VRA Core Element Set is ready for testing.  There is still some work to do, but it is mostly working right now.  The repo is https://addons.omeka.org/svn/plugins/VraCoreElementSet/trunk/

What it does:

* Adds VRA Core Element Set
* Adds Agent table for creating, editing, and deleting agents and associated metadata (birth and death dates, culture, and role)
* The Edit Item for for the VRA Core Element Set restricts the Agent field to a drop down menu populated by the Agents table
* One can export records to VRA Core XML.  This XML file will validate to the schema.
* There is a sample function for outputting Agents and their associated metadata within the public views.

What is left to do:

* Automatically map fields entered in VRA Core to their DC equivalent

A few things to note:

Birth and death dates must be valid ISO 8601 dates, as per a requirement to validate to the XSD schema.  Zend Form validation is used to check this.

I hope it is found to be useful,

Ethan,

It works for me so far. Well done! I'll continue to pound on it and
keep you updated.
