Hi all,

After upgrading from 11.04 to 11.10 of Ubuntu on one computer I have
found that you cannot create application launchers on the desktop by
default, with the usual right click context menu. For some brain dead
reason it has been removed!

If you already have a launcher for OmegaT+ it will be preserved after
upgrade, else you will have to fix this yourself.
Found a page about this: http://shuffleos.com/3274/how-to-create-desktop-launchers-in-ubuntu-11-10-oneiric-ocelot/
where you do it from a terminal, but at the bottom of the page there
is a link to another page with instructions for adding in a script to
put the right content menu "Create Launcher" selection back in.

Note: you enter the path of the OmegaT+ executable program in the
"command" box of the create launcher dialog. The small ~30kb program
that is available in the "Linux-x86" distribution package only. For
the generic package you will have to use the OmegaT+.sh script
instead, not sure if that will work properly (going to check).
