Hi all,

Someone brought to my attention that they are having problems with
OmegaT+ under some variant of Ubuntu/Debian. The issue seems to be for
them that the language/locale setting upon making a new project
reverts to the default configuration (e.g., in project.xml of the
project folder) of using English. This prevents TMX from being matched
against (wrong locale does this). In this case the person is
translating towards English from another language (non-English
original/source). Not certain if that has anything to do with it
though.

A problem tracking this down to determine if it is really a bug is
that I have not seen this at all, on Linux (Mandriva), Mac OS X, or
Windows, and do not have Ubuntu/Debian quickly available. Plus, the
"user" is not willing to supply me with sufficient information or
cooperate further.

Thus, if anyone is on a Ubuntu/Debian system I would really appreciate
your input on this. Possibly you could try making a little test
project going from non-English original to any translation language
and see if anything is broken with the settings for the project after/
upon opening.

Thanks in advance,

Raymond

Hi Raymond,

I tested this under both Ubuntu-based LinuxMint and Debian-based
Crunchbang, which showed no problem at all.
That's all I can do with so little cooperation/information from the
complainant.

Sadi
