Hi all,

For those on Mac OS X there seems to be some issues with the recent
update of Java issued by Apple.

If you haven't updated recently, hold off on it if you find OmegaT+ is
working correctly. Or else you might end up with the issue I am
reporting here.

In OmegaT+ this update results in most of the menus disappearing when
you attempt to open a project. Canceling the project open has no
effect on fixing this.

An annoying workaround for this is to either open the applications
About dialog (in the OmegaT+ menu) or minimize/maximize the
application. This results in the desktop menubar refreshing and the
menus working as expected. No other problem has been detected thus
far. The issue does not occur on Linux (or Windows probably).

Report any other problems, please. I am looking into the matter
further and will try to find a fix for this (if this is possible from
OmegaT+) .

Hi all,

Okay, I found the problem and fixed it. The bug was actually in OmegaT
+ from legacy code, and a very minor one at that.

What actually happened is that Apple has fixed something in their Java
implementation to make it work correctly. Thus, a bug shows up due to
their currently version working better than it did before. So in the
past the only reason this bug did not show up was because Java was
broken on Mac!

I will package up a new version with the fix soon and let you all know
when you can obtain it.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Raymond
