to OmegaT+ CAT Tools
Hi all,

I just started a new project dedicated to standards for translation
formats (http://transtandards.sourceforge.net). It is project to share
specifications, sample data, tools, links and other information
required by translators and developers of related tools.

The reason this has come about is due to the fact that LISA
(Localisation Industry Standards Association) is now defunct. It was
the organization that developed the formats used in many CAT tools,
including TMX in OmegaT+. Other industry organizations may take up
control of these, but it is uncertain where this will lead at present.
In an effort to keep information about these formats well circulated I
thought it would be a good idea to have a free open source software-
like project for them.

At the moment there is not much on the site, but if anyone would be
interested in participating towards its development they can contact
me.

Thanks,

Raymond
