Serious bug using OmegaT+ with Java 1.7, stick with 1.6

Hi all,

Just tried out OmegaT+ with Java 1.7 and there is a serious bug that
prevents projects from opening.

Please stick with Java 1.6 for now.

Java 1.7 is pretty new and is known to have some quirks. I even had a
little odd behavior with other Java applications.

I am looking into the issue now and will advise when I have an idea
what the cause of the problem is or a fix.

If anyone actually has it working with 1.7 please let me know, this
may help track down the bug.

Good news, I found a fix for the problem.

The only drawback so far is that it seems to mess up the machine
translation functionality.

More checking to do...

The new version of the program is working properly with Java 7. Stick
with Java 6 for the currently released version though.

The machine translation issue was unrelated, Google is disallowing
free translation. Changes will have to be made to this feature in the
program...

You are going to have to be more specific. I have seen this working
properly, so it is unlikely that it is not working all of a sudden
(and no one else is reporting the problem). Provide details of what
you did, Java version, etc.

Okay, perhaps I wasn't clear in the previous replies. I found a fix to
work with Java 1.7, but I did not release it yet. That was last year
so I think I will have to consider it now, since the latest version of
Java is mature enough.

If you can hold on a bit I can get that fix to you. I'll send it to
you (your email?) then work on getting it out in a proper release. I
will have problem sending as a zip through my gmail account, so it
will go as a 7-Zip instead (should work).
