Subject:     APOE 4 Gene test for Alzheimers  -   A discussion

Dear Deb:  { DZMa...@yahoo.com  }

Prof. Olle Johansson has conducted hundreds of studies involving electric field exposures, has been interviewed many times and also contributed to Sage & Sage, et al  "BioInitiative Report" re immune deficiency:

BioInitiative Report:
A Rationale for a Biologically-based Public Exposure Standard for Electromagnetic Fields  (ELF and RF)     -    An international working group of scientists, researchers and public health policy professionals (The BioInitiative Working Group)"    Link:   http://www.bioinitiative.org/

After I review various studies re APOE4 gene and facts related to electric field exposures, I will follow-up with scientists at the Karolinska Institute who work specifically in area of genetic research.   Since I can no longer  post on Alzheimers' Association message board, I will send you a copy of any relevant correspondence.   I am not suggesting you "fall by wayside" re posting privileges.    I do think it is time for YouTube video challenges to what appears to be limits to free speech by moderators of Alzheimers' message board.   Big Pharma influence?    Why else would moderators not want caregivers and the large numbers of persons added every day to the mounting list of so-called "Early Onset Alzheimers' Disease" patients to be able to decide for themselves "all possibilities" regarding potential causes and possible ways to delay onset and/or perhaps even to prevent many devastating symptoms and/or 'diseases?'

While the above studies do not specifically refer to "amyloid" and/or the APOE4 gene (so far as I recall), all of this information is inexorably linked to the mysteries and also potential preventative measures surrounding the rapid increases in dementia-like health problems.       Take care   -    Joanne

Yes, dear Joanne, I do see the very important connection here.
It definitely should be further analyzed by the people who can.

Dear Olle:    Thought you might be interested  to read about probable connection between close electric field exposures and  the APOE4 allele -- a mutation thought to be strongly linked to development  of dementia that is being called "Alzheimers."

My response, copied below, was prompted by poster's question  as to whether or not to pay $350 for gene testing when she can not really afford and inurance does not cover all.

Facts re APOE4 allele indicate that a person is more  likely to develop dementia but that having the particular allele does not  ensure such a decline.

As I indicated, I am in early stages of reviewing available research on the APOE4 allele, so at this time, I am not distributing to group although not confidential.......

I know you are very busy and vacation time is coming up soon  which I hope you enjoy "to max!"

Lots more going on  -   stay well and take  care   -   Joanne

Dear Deb:    ( _DZM...@yahoo.com_ (mailto:DZMa...@yahoo.com)  ) I am posting below links to three of my most important letters that are not on my website (can't afford to pay to have site updated) plus link to VIP study on melatonin:

You may at one time or another read one of my posts re the critical need to remove electric appliances, telephone equipment and any item that has a speaker (magnet) away from close proximity to heads of beds.     I have also made many posts about the importance of taking melatonin not only for sleep but also for overall well-being.    The study above  indicates melatonin may reduce severity of demetia symptoms.

Even if you have read my letters, I need to tell you (have been suspended from posting) that new research I have been doing re the APOE4 allele indicates there are many reasons to believe that  mutation is likely due  to persons being heavily exposed to electric fields.

References to "tyrosine kinase" in one of my searches re APOE4, corresponds to known fact regarding Dr. Fatih Uckun's electromagnetic field  studies for the $46 mil EMF RAPID Study.   Tyrosine kinase (protein) changes are linked to immune deficiencies caused by electric field  exposures. My two grandsons improved after moving their beds away  from electric meters.   They had the rare immune deficiencie  referred to by Dr. Uckun (actually my grandsons' blood was sent to Dr. Uckun  twice), that are "pre- Leukemic."

You may know that Leukemia has its own link to so-called "Alzheimers" by the fact the Leukemia drug, Gleevec, was considered as a possible treatment for Alzehimers.

My husband, Bud, does have the APOE4 allele and he also has been identiied as having MTHFR C677T mutation.   You may be interested to  know the geneticist at the University of Minnesota did not think our family members should be checked re the MTHFR C677T mutation.   He "already  knew" what cause was and did not want to have to admit that electric field  exposures are "reason......."

I will have a lot more to share soon -- a short bit of information soon via YouTube (if I can corral a kid to help me -- another loong story) and will be doing letter to be posted on Omega's World News website re the APOE4 gene,  the MTHFR C677T mutation and more.........

Dr. Kerry Crofton, a psychologist (Ph.D.) with 30 yrs.' experience working in health field with cardiac patients that included airline controllers, pilots, etc., has just released her new book, "Radiation  Rescue." I am referred to under "U.S. Citizen activists" and  also my website under "Resources."   Dr. Crofton has done an  excellent job of intertwining concerns about cell phone with the need to also  reduce appliance exposures.  I have just begun reading the book which is  available through Amazon and Barnes and Noble.  More information on Dr.  Crofton's website: _www.radiationrescue.org_ (http://www.radiationrescue.org/)
........
This is "not about ME," but rather the urgent need to inform the public about prevention that must be taken if we are to have any sort of healthcare system at all.    I have been working hard to force Obama administration to release known facts.    So far, "no one" in  Obama administration is addressing this extremely important  issue.

Feel free to call or email with questions and take care    -    Joanne

Subject: APOE 4 Gene test for Alzheimers - A discussion

Dear Örjan: { oerjan....@swipnet.se )

Another important study, I am sure!

I can speculate as to the answer which is likely to be "no." But, I
suppose the answer may depend upon many confounders or variables such
as results from CT scans, MRI's and PET scans, etc. Unfortunately,
here in the U.S., there are increasing reports re doctors with no
generic or dementia-related experience whatsoever, administering mini
mental tests, assigning 'diagnoses' and prescribing what appear to be
"dangerous medications" in an apparent rush to line Big Pharma's
pockets along with their own. Patients and caregivers are left to
either "flounder" hoping the "magic meds" will actually help or they
"struggle to exist" all the while believing they do not dare
discontinue the prescription. In fairness, some patients and
caregivers do report potentially positive benefits; however,
continuous observation and review of many posts on the Alzheimers'
Association message boards "paints pictures" of often unbearable
suffering for way too many persons.

If mortality opinions rely heavily on autopsy results confirming
amyloid accumulation, twisted tau fibres, etc., that data would, of
course, also be important. More evidence that electric field
exposures do, in fact, promote inflammation which precedes formation
of white matter hyperintensities, tau tangles, amyloid or other
fibrous changes, is essential -- I believe those studies and facts
already exist. Epidemiological studies evaluating environmental
factors such as numbers and type(s) of appliances, telephone equipment
and/or any item with a speaker (magnet) that may be and/or has been
close to patient's head and/or body all night long for years, along
with available, supportive citations, will not only help reduce
numbers of new cases of early onset dementias but has strong
likelihood of "merging existing science" re many other health
problems.

I will be anxious to review your study, Hallberg Ö. Is increased
mortality from Alzheimer's disease in Sweden a reflection of better
diagnostics? Cur Alzheimer Research, accepted 2009-05-08 -- when
it is published. As with most topics, there are many angles to
consider. Thanks much and take care! Joanne (7-26-09) -

Thanks.
I recently got a paper looking into the mortality from AD

I have still not got a correction proof, so I guess there is a
waiting line for publication.
