Hi,

Can you please share the model of THE PS3 navigation controller (https://github.com/uic-evl/omegalib/wiki/Wand-Quick-Start-Guide) used in CAVE2?
It will be extremely helpful if we can know the exact models used in UIC, and we will buy the same one. I found one in Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Playstation-Move-Navigation-Controller-3/dp/B002I0K6X6), can I ask if that is the one please?

Also, I found that the trackable markers and the controller are connected by one object. Would you mind if I ask where I can buy this kind of object? Or is that created by 3D printer? I thought I could glue markers and controller together before, but the methods shown in the figure is much better.

Thanks a lot!

The controller you found on Amazon is the right one. I don't think any of the pieces were 3D printed but I'm not sure where they have been bought. Jonas Talandis from EVL should have more information on this, you can find his email here: https://www.evl.uic.edu/list.php?id=2&type=5&letter=T

The controller attachment in that picture was made in a machine shop with a central screw attached inside the front of the controller. We have made more recent variations that were 3D printed (see attached image). As Alessandro mentioned, Jonas may have additional details like specific parts or the 3D model.

Hi Alessandro and Arthur,

Thanks a lot!

We already ordered the controller and I will see if we can make the similar joints.

Hi,

Could you please share some experience with me to connect the controller to pc?
Sorry that I haven't used that kind of device before and have few clues to make it work.

Best,
Henan
