All,

In 2009, we launched the re-designed http://omapzoom.org website and also introduced omap...@googlegroups.com mailing list as resources for the OMAPZoom community.  Today, we are glad to announce the availability of http://OMAPWorld.com , “Your window into the world of OMAP platforms”.

OMAPZoom.org site has now evolved into OMAPworld.com that will enable us to scale and support the expanding OMAP platform portfolio. New to OMAPWorld is the Blaze™ mobile development platform (MDP) which is the first in a family of OMAP 4 processor-based development tools.

The information on Zoom MDPs has been migrated over from the old website and can still be obtained. From now on, users accessing omapzoom.org will be re-directed to omapworld.com. Users accessing any content on omapzoom.org will see a page similar to: http://omapzoom.org/migrated.html

Website changes:

·         http://omapzoom.org website will start to redirect onto the new http://OMAPWorld.com . All resources and information are carried over to the new site from omapzoom.org.

·         The new OMAPworld.com website will also have information on Blaze platform and future OMAP platforms.

Mailing List changes:

·         omap...@googlegroups.com mailing list will be deprecated (no new users) and will be replaced by new omapd...@googlegroups.com (http://groups.google.com/group/omapdiscuss). OMAPdiscuss will serve as your starting point to discuss anything related to OMAP (including Zoom)

What will NOT change:

·         IRC channel will still remain the same (#linux-omap on irc.freenode.net)

·         OMAPPedia.org (the OMAP public wiki) will continue to be used for all OMAP platform related info. You can check the site for Blaze OBX and how to get started with Android and Ubuntu on Blaze

·         Git.omapzoom.org will continue to have the GIT trees  - no change

·         Review.omapzoom.org will continue to have the gerrit review server – no change

Thanks

Geetha Thondar
