Many of us in the USA will celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday this week, a time of reflection. I have many reasons to be thankful, reasons that include the people and content on the Omaha System Website. We maintain the Website to share resources, and to improve our collective use of the Omaha System. Please open the Website to review the following and other sections! You may find some information you didn’t know was there! Encourage others to USE the Website, too!
1.Photo Gallery: Many new photos were just posted! Listserv members attended numerous conferences and appear in numerous photos!! Will be delighted if you attended AMIA, APHA, or the Big Data Science Conferences and will send additional photos to me to add to the Photo Gallery! OR you attended another meeting/conference that involved the Omaha System and will send 3 or more photos from that event!
2. Board of Directors: The biosketches have been updated. Members’ Omaha System-related accomplishments and plans are stunning! As noted at the top of the section, Board members are volunteers. If you would like to know more about their activities, use the emails that are listed to communicate with them and include Board of Directors in your Subject line.
3. Home page, Links, and Conferences: Jeana Holt posted a Listserv message last week announcing that the next online Omaha System Update Conference will be held on April 17, 2025 from 8:00-10:00 AM central standard time! Please add it to your calendars! More details will be posted early in 2025. Details about 2025 Omaha System Basic Workshops will be added to Links “soon”.
