Dear Omaha System Community!
Happy New Year! We are super excited to share.....
The American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) has had a large and
active Nursing Informatics Working Group for many years. In the early
2000s, the Group initiated a Pioneer Series and interviewed and
videotaped 33 individuals including Karen Martin!! Her original interview
can be seen on the AMIA Website: https://www.amia.org/nursing-informatics-innovators-karen-s-martin.
Pioneer interviews are also included in the National Library of
Medicine. In September, the Working Group interviewed Karen again for
their Then and Now Series; an update was posted on the AMIA Listserv,
LinkedIn, and X. The Group plans to add the updated interviews to the
original interviews later.
We will send updates as they are announced.
