Hello to My Omaha Community Colleagues,
I am working with Dr. Melissa Goulding, an Assistant Professor at University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School.  Melissa's research specializes in cardiovascular disease prevention in youth.  A survey has been developed to highlight the work that Local Public Health Nurses are doing in chronic disease management, specifically, blood pressure (BP) screening.  This survey has IRB approval by the UMass Chan School.  The survey has been sent out in Massachusetts to our Local Public Health Nurses.  We are also sending the survey out nationally to public health nursing listserves as we are hoping that PHNs across the United States will also complete this survey.  Please feel free to share the survey purpose, survey link and QR code with other PHNs across the United Stated that are performing BP screening in their work.
The survey purpose and brief description as well as the link and QR code to access the survey are below.
Public health nurses play a key role in screening and monitoring chronic diseases. Researchers at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School have been collaborating with public health nurses at the Massachusetts Dept. of Public Health to shine a light on the vital role public health nurses play related to cardiovascular disease prevention and management through blood pressure screening. You are being invited to take part in a study about community-based blood pressure screening practices of public health nurses. If you agree to participate the survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete. Please feel free to share the link with other public health nurses to help us capture as many public health nursing voices as possible!

Thank you very much in advance!
