Omaha Maker Group-Merger Update!
This weekend we moved all of the Electronics bench components and equipment to Made New Makerspace. We’ve also moved the embroidery machine and the serger to MNM. It will take few days to get everything settled into their new locations. However, Jim told us that if you need to do some quick soldering or testing, he can work out a space for you.
Jim’s crew has made a ton of progress on sorting his items and clearing room for the OMG equipment. Because of that, we have two important announcements!
Tuesday, March 24th will be closing night for the OMG K Street studio. We’re going to open up a 6 PM for munchies and memories and at 7:30 we will send out the final “The MakerSpace is closed” by pulling the big switch. After that night, the K Street location will be permanently closed.
Saturday, March 28th will be moving day! We’ll be moving everything into a big truck and transporting it to 5366 F St. The equipment, your personal banker boxes, and clean shop benches will all be moved. Please meet a the K St at 10:30 am and bring your muscles! We will be furnishing pizza and soft drinks to fuel the movers.
After the 28th, we will be the Omaha Maker Group, part of Made New Makerspace. We’ll be working with MNM and their crew create a fantastic place more making in Omaha.
