Note: I have never installed Google Pack.

I have GoogleUpdate.exe (x2) running on my machine, and
GoogleUpdater.exe - pretty sure GoogleUpdater is Omaha.

The Google Updater lists some applications - but not all such as
Google Earth Plugin - guess that is part of GoogleUpdate? How do we
find out?

Hi Barry,
this has been an unfortunate source of confusion and we are working to simplify things and making clear which one is which. Google Update is Omaha. Google Updater is part of Pack, and naming confusion aside, it does not share anything with Google Update /Omaha.

One idea would be for Google to provide a list of what Google client software gets updates using Google Update. I am making a note of it.

Best regards,

Sorin

Hmm, on the Omaha homepage it says:

"So far, Omaha supports many Google products for Windows, including
Google Chrome and Google Earth,"

and you are saying Omaha is 'GoogleUpdate'

but I have Chrome and Google Earth listed in Google Updater (ie
Pack) ??

As you say thoughally confused! A list of what is updated, by what,
would be great!

Thanks, that's great.

But is the list current, or 'has in the past' ?

For example it lists Google Earth, but Google Earth (now?) uses the
Google Updater from Pack?

The download link on earth.google.com goes to:
http://pack.google.com/intl/en/integrated_eula.html?hl=en&ciint=ci_earth&ci_earth=on&utm_source=en-cdr-earth4&utm_medium=cdr&utm_campaign=en

Also what exactly is meant by 'Google Apps' in that link? As I
understand it Google Apps are a bunch of web-based applications, and
as such dont download. The link itself points to Pack! (does that mean
Google Updater uses ohama to update itself?)
