New issue 29 by gwil...@google.com: Feature Request: Group Policy control
to "only update to version X"

(Also see b/2582006)

Some organizations want to be able to control the maximum version that
users update to, primarily because they've only verified legacy
applications with Chrome to that version, or they want to control the size
of the update (updating only on a minor version update may incur only a
differential update, whereas a major version update may require a full XXMB
download)

It would be nice to have a way to control, via group policy, the exact
version of a product to which a client should upgrade, or perhaps control
the maximum amount of bandwidth consumed by an update.

In this scenarios, we suggest installing using the Chrome Business
installer and updating Chrome using platform-specific, enterprise
mechanisms.
