What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Just using chrome and every now and then I see a crash in the
application log of windows event viewer and curious what it means

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

This isn't a crash in Omaha -- it's a crash in Chrome. Try filing a report
with the Chromium team here:
