Changing project funding structures -
Sometimes agile adoption may struggle in an organization that is used
to funding waterfall-type projects. By this I mean the funding is for
fixed cost & fixed scope projects. While it's not impossible for
Agile methods to be used in the structure it may mean that higher-
level expectations need to be managed. It could be a reason that
Agile seems to "loose its steam" after a few pilot projects.
Hiring/Retaining Employees -
This isn't exactly about making Agile stick, but more about the
possible consequences of Agile not sticking. If Agile is being
adopted at more organizations (or being executed better) that *other*
organization will likely attract talent to it. Just an interesting
unintended consequence that may carry more weight with HR types :)
