Hello everyone!
Thank you for the interest you expressed in Our Moment at SAC Fair. I'd like to draw your attention to two events this week:
1. Our Moment New Member Interest Meeting
TUESDAY, September 4 @ 8:30 pm in ICC 108
If you are interested in learning about our new initiatives this semester, please stop by. Current members will be talking about everything from fundraising and awareness-raising events, the social entrepreneurship competition, a microfinance initiative in Zambia, and many more. Don't be afraid if you lack previous knowledge about international development issues-- you are here to learn and Our Moment is a great place to do so! All you need is to have enthusiasm and a desire to learn and explore some of the most challenging issues our generation will face!
2. International Development Certificate Open House
THURSDAY, September 6 from 1 to 3 pm in McGhee Library (3rd Floor ICC)
Professor Maria Luise Wagner (the Director of the IDev Certificate) will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about the certificate. It is a great opportunity to meet a wonderful and helpful professor and learn about the SFS's newest certificate (and if you are in the College, the certificate is not yet available to you-- so make sure to join Our Moment because we are working to ensure that you guys also have access!!!)
I've also attached a list of potential projects and descriptions for the upcoming semester/year. Each project will be explained further at tomorrow's meeting, but if for some reason you absolutely cannot make the meeting and are interested in participating, please look over the list and contact me with any of the projects you're interested in, and I will point you in the right direction.
