Tacoma Contra Dance on New Year's Eve

Please join us to dance on December 31, New Year’s Eve, starting at 9:00 pm. The place is our old locale, Wells Hall, 310 North K Street, Tacoma.
The band is the fabulous “Condor Sutra.” That’s Hayden Stern on fiddle, Marni Rachmiel on flute and aerophone, Dave Bartley on guitar, and Julie Bennett on drums and percussion. Your caller is none other than Tom Wimmer.
Let’s dress for the occasion. Tuxedo, elegant dress, or normal garb, whatever you want to wear. Feel free to bring finger food for sharing, such as chocolates, cookies, and other munchies. A mystery guest will honor us with “Auld Lange Syne” to welcome in the new year.
Admission for this splendid evening of music, dance, and camaraderie is $20 – $40. That means pay what you can afford so that we can pay the musicians well.
This event is the first NYE contra dance in Tacoma or Olympia since the pandemic. We plan to alternate years—this year in Tacoma and next year in Olympia. Happy New Year!
