George Marshall and Countercurrent at Tacoma Contra Dance

Greetings, Dancers,
Please join us this Sunday afternoon, November 10, for calling by George Marshall and music by Countercurrent, at the Fircrest Community Center, 555 Contra Costa Ave., in Fircrest. Workshop at 3:00, dance from 3:30 to 6:00.
George Marshall is a renowned dance caller and musician from Massachusetts, and this will be his 18th appearance at the Tacoma Contra Dance going back to 2001 !
The musicians are Alex Sturbaum and Brian Lindsay on guitar and fiddle. They make stirring, magical music to complement George’s wonderful calling.
If you are new to contra dancing, be there by 3:00 for the workshop led by George Marshall. There is no better way to learn how to contra dance.
Admission to the dance is $10 to $25 on a “sliding scale.” That means pay what you can afford. We need an average of $16 per dance to pay our costs. I hope you will be generous to support the outstanding caller and band.
It’s been a long week, and I sure look forward to Sunday afternoon. Tell your friends and join us in our large dance space. See you on the dance floor!
