Tacoma Contra Dance at our new home

Greetings, Dancers,

 

Please join us next Sunday afternoon, December 17, at our new dance location for calling by Jesse Partridge and music by the Sono Onos.  That’s Sono Hashisaki and Olga Hauptman on fiddle, Laurie Andres on accordion, and Jay Finkelstein on guitar.  The repertoire is an international mix of dynamic contra dance tunes made for dancing.  Workshop for newcomers is at 3:00 PM, followed by the dance from 3:30 to 6:00.

 

The new location is the Fircrest Community Center, 555 Contra Costa Avenue, Fircrest, WA.  Fircrest is just off Route 16.  Take your time—speed limit in Fircrest is 25 mph, and they mean it.  Plenty of parking is available on the street and in the lot behind the building.

 

Admission to the dance is $10 - $25.  Pay what you can afford, and please be generous.

 

I really like the new hall, and so did many dancers who made favorable comments last month.  And, yes, we now dance on Sunday afternoons.  The schedule is on our website, http://tacomacontradance.org
