Please join us next Sunday, November 9, for a contra dance with George Marshall and Countercurrent. This special dance is at our old haunt, Christ Church Wells Hall, 310 North K Street, Tacoma. Workshop is at 3:00, followed by the dance from 3:30 to 6:00.
George Marshall hails from Massachusetts, and is probably the most famous contra dance caller in the US. He is really good! Known for his warm personality, George calls dances with good flow that delight new and experienced contra dancers alike.
“Countercurrent” is Brian Lindsay and Alex Sturbaum on fiddle, guitar, foot percussion, and vocals. This duo, from Olympia, makes a dynamic sound that will “rock your socks.” See https://countercurrentmusic.com
Plenty of parking is available in the lot next to Wells Hall and on the street. Admission is $15 - $30----please pay what you can afford. We know from experience that an average of $19 or $20 per dancer will cover our costs.
