Greetings, Dancers,
Please come dance with us next Sunday afternoon, November 12, at the new location for the Tacoma contra dance—the Fircrest Community Center, 555 Contra Costa Drive, Fircrest, WA.
The band is George Marshall and the Faux Paws. George is a superb caller, and he is touring with the Faux Paws. The band plays a roller-coaster medley of sound that combines the best of traditional contra dance music with really creative arrangements from other musical genres. The players are Noah van Norstrand, Chris Miller, and Owen Morrison on fiddle, mandolin, banjo, sax, and feet. Believe me, this is a captivating and truly unique band. It’s the perfect band to start us off in the new dance location.
Workshop for newcomers starts at 3:00, followed by the dance from 3:30 to 6:00. Plenty of parking is available.
Admission as usual is $10 - $25. Please pay what you can afford. And do invite your friends. We need lots of dancers to fill the hall.
