Raccoon Carnival at Tacoma Contra Dance

Greetings, Dancers,
Please join us this Sunday afternoon, May 19, for exciting music by the Raccoon Carnival, with calling by Joe Micheals. Workshop starts at 3:00, dance 3:30 to 6:00.
The Raccoon Carnival is a band of 16 players—on fiddles, viola, banjo, bass, guitar, and cajón—led by Sarah Comer. The arrangements are lively and really well fitted to the dances.
Joe Micheals is a superb caller. If you are a newcomer, be there at 3:00 for Joe’s workshop. No need to bring a partner, as we have plenty of singles.
We dance at the Fircrest Community Center, 555 Contra Costa Ave., in Fircrest. Please drive slowly. The speed limit in Fircrest is 25 mph, and they mean it !
Admission is $10 - $25. Pay what you can afford and please be generous. With a normal-size crowd, we can cover our expenses with an average of $16 per dancer.
The Raccoon Carnival is a really fun band made for dancing. See you Sunday.
