Wendy works at Community Resources. Community Resources is a social
service agency that primarily supports people with developmental
disabilities. Wendy offered to see if we could have the Free Skool
meetings there.
Wendy said: "I work for a private social services agency, Community
Resources, that primarily supports people with developmental
disabilities. However, our vision, mission, values statements support
diversity and working towards a greater community that respects the
value of all people. We want to support community groups like the Free
Skool."
I think this is a GREAT idea. The Free Skool needs spaces for meetings
and classes.
Someone also mentioned that the "Oly Arts Perspective" space might be
cool too.
Also...are we meeting tomorrow? If so, where?
If we don't have a location, maybe we can just meet somewhere downtown?
I am suggesting we meet at 2 (our usual time) and meet at Burial
Grounds, because it's somewhere we can meet.
I think it's important that we meet. I do not want the Free Skool to
die. Now that I no longer work at Media Island, and I will be done with
classes this year soon, I am excited to be involved again (core
organizing + teaching classes)!!!
